Owned hull #65 since 1984. Looking for factory dimensional drawings, material specs. and any photos of replacements that varied from factory originals.

I am far from my boat so I cannot give you the specs. But I recall that there are 21 individual cushions in that boat. One modification I made when re doing them was to make the back cushions on the port side of the main cabin a bit higher. Not sure that was necessary or if it helped. Someone can send you pictures of their arrangement an you can measure yourself if you are making them.

We created new cushions for Waterborn and I'm very happy with them.

We kept the V-Berth and Quarter berth with a center split. But made both sets full length. We also kept the settee cushions full length as well, instead of being 3 separate cushions. We also kept the backs full length and used 1" Lux-R foam. They sort of sag a little in the middle, but I can live with that.

Instead of just using 5" foam, we used 3" Lux-R foam as the base and 2" memory foam on the top. This means you still get the harder support when sitting on them, but a little softer feel when laying on them for sleep.

We covered them with Ultraleather and used a breathable mesh for the bottom of the cushions. They've been on the boat for 2 years in the South Carolina and are easy to clean and have shown no signs of mildew.

I thought I had more pictures, but can't find them right now:

They do look rather elegant, neat and clean lines. But what's that sole covering? Wife's dealing with the cushion re-do (got a Sailrite zz as bait). But your cabin sole looks good too. Mine's a little rough in some corners.

I went off the reservation with the cabin sole, but the original was soo far gone there was no saving it. And since the way we sail involves a lot of wet kids running all over the place and being rough on things, I went with Ultralon U-Dek. It's the foam, like Dri-Dek material. Great on the feet, gives good "feel" and grip. We tested with multiple red stuff. Wine, salsa, pasta sauce. The only thing that leaves a small stain is salsa.

It's held up really well for the 3 seasons its been on. I patterned it and sent it to U-Dek in Rhode Island. They did a nice job. It's not traditional, but from a picture is hard to tell Wink

Pictures taken during the great refit of 2018.

Keep poking around, I'm sure you'll find some threads on the topic.
