A have a port light in the salon that doesn't quite seal the best. If the latch is off a bit, the gasket doesn't seal well.
So I have been appling some Vaseline and it seems to help seal.
The portlights are Alum. not sure if they are original ( 1981) to the boat. I was looking for gasket replacements and all I could find were gaskets by Beckson. I don't think my portlights are Beckson, not sure the make.

Somebody must have had the same issue.
Any advice, comments will be greatly apprecaited.

Thanks in advance.
Nick.

Hi Nick,

Have you had any luck with finding gaskets? Mine still seal (1986)and i really like the windows and dread the day of having to replace them.

Currently I am looking for a replacement screens that go in these windows. If anyone has replaced the windows and have screens to sell or now of a place to buy new/refurbished please pass along.

Regards,
John

Screen for Lewmar portlights. Our T37, TRYST, is the last SW&S T37, built in 1989. It came with Lewmar ports, I believe 15"x 4" but not sure of that dimension. We needed to replace the screens and Lewmar no longer made them as they stopped making those particular ports. I was able to find replacement screens on Ebay. I ordered them and they fit fine and work well, tucked in between the rubber gaskets and the exterior ring of the ports.
Hope this is helpful.

I found out that my port lights are Bomar.
I measured my screens 14 3/8"x4 3/8" out to out and still in good shape.
I spoke with Bomar's tech folks and the model ports I have they don't make anymore.
I've been now been using 303 Aerospace on the gaskets which helps a bit.

Nick
