Just wanted to use the new forum and get a look and what the T37's of the world are up against. We got our sweet, sweet rating again this year! And that's with a penalty for not renewing the PHRF. (This is just a beer can series)

Last year we were scratch boat in JAM 2, now we're anchor boat of JAM 1.

2 (JAM A) 50254 Celerity C&C / 40 Dummer 114
2 (JAM A) 2330 Tigress Dufour Classic 36 Majewski 114
2 (JAM A) 41058 Mirage Beneteau First 375 Kupczyk 123
2 (JAM A) 40326 American Dream Tartan Ten Wecker 138 7-Jun
2 (JAM A) 51720 Intuition Jeanneau SO 43 Dick 138
2 (JAM A) 42179 KittyHoots Soverel 27 Hille 147
2 (JAM A) 299 High Flight Tartan 37 Civello 153

The Jeanneau and the C&C 40 are the only ones that can beat us in the big winds. So it's up to the weather. In light winds we're near last every time.

We also have informal racing involving 10 to 20 sailboats about once a month. In moderate to heavy air, a T3500, is usually the boat to beat, and in light air, a Catalina 30 is often a winner. Boat boats have seasoned expert sailors. In light wind I do not compete well against the light air Catalinas, Hunters, Pearsons, etc. In moderate to heavy air, I'm much more competitive with placement more the result of sailor ineptness than T37 design flaws. Jay.

We have a PHRF of 126 so we don't even bother racing anymore. How do you get a 153? No wind?

We didn't race this year, but that rating was certainly influenced by full fin keel (and the resulting displacement), mast furling main (meaning slightly shorter rig and detached foot), furling headsail, and I think they even took our dodger into account.
