Has anyone been able to correct the movement of the cabin roof / companionway under the main sheet traveler. My traveler was upgraded by the past owner and I’m not sure if he installed the correct track ( strength ) and that’s why it’s flexing in the center. I’m going to install harken 32mm big boat main sheet traveler track but I wanted to see if anyone has dealt with this and if there is a better fix.
Thanks

Mine still does it. I would also be interested in the fix. It seems like no matter what you bolted there, it will flex that area unless somehow the deck itself were strengthened. Maybe a big backing plate? Could rig tension help?

I was planning on dropping the headliner and laminating two wide pieces of G-10 to the under side of the cabin roof on both sides of the companionway to spread the load and replacing the teak raiser with the Harken 1849 track risers see link.

Weird, mine doesn't flex but when I changed it out 6 years ago there was two good size wet cores where the track bolts on, maybe you have the same thing and that's why it is flexing?

Late to this post regarding the flexing cabin top. I took the liner down and glassed in 3/4 plywood to the underside of the cabin top at three locations. This was done to stiffen the cabin top as it seemed to flex more than I liked when someone was standing on it. This is not directly related to loads the traveler puts into the cabin top but I have not witnessed any issues from either since doing this.
