I'll be able to check tomorrow if I can get my hands on the sail. I've sold a couple of sails, usually about $50-60 to ship. To replace the cover should be $400-500.
The 48's are nice, but Tartan commission a ton of T37s with 46's. The bigger are better, but you can certainly get the big jib in with the 46. You can always luff up a little if sailing above 15kts, to get the final trim. You want to get it in so you can only get a fist between the spreader and sail. Wind picks up, move the car all the way back and stand over the winch while grinding. Also get the 10" Lewmar quick release double winch handle. The very best thing I ever bought for my boat.
