Putting some feelers out there to see if anyone has a 150% they may be interested in parting ways with. We have a 130% and a smaller one now, but a 150% appears to be a great option to have on board for for cruising or to fully utilize or PHRF rating for the intermittent club racing we do.

There are some options on the used sail websites but wanted to see if anyone has anything here. Also open to any advice/suggestions anyone may have on what to look for or avoid in a 150 or any roller furling genoa.

Hope everyone is enjoying their boats this summer, we certainly are.

Cheers-

What type of roller furling do you have and how far off the deck is it? I might have a Quantum 150. Still solid. I stay away from 155, while allowed. They seem harder to tack and to trim upwind. I mean our boats have a huge "J" at 16ft. The 150 is 24ft of sail to get around and that's enough. Hope you have the optional Lewmar 48s or bigger.

We have a 150 and are looking for a 115-130 for trade wind sailing. Interested in a trade?

Puffcard-

I have a Hood SeaFurl 2 furler, it is older but has served us well once we replaced the furling line. I estimate that the top of the drum is approximately 10-14" off the the deck. We have Lewmar 46 primaries.

Sailingsoulianis-

I appreciate the offer but I'm not looking to part with the 130 right now, its been a great sail for us.

Thanks All-

Dan

Let me check I have a older Hood 150, should fit perfectly. If I can find it, it's yours. I use to have the old Hood furling system and switched to Harken. The sail's fabric is good, but does need the sacrificial cloth replaced, you could try it out before replacing. Where you located?

Thanks Puffcard!

We are located in Grand Rapids, MI ZIP:49503.

I'm hoping that the shipping cost doesn't negate the opportunity. Should I be concerned about using our current Lewmar 46s?

Thanks again-

I'll be able to check tomorrow if I can get my hands on the sail. I've sold a couple of sails, usually about $50-60 to ship. To replace the cover should be $400-500.

The 48's are nice, but Tartan commission a ton of T37s with 46's. The bigger are better, but you can certainly get the big jib in with the 46. You can always luff up a little if sailing above 15kts, to get the final trim. You want to get it in so you can only get a fist between the spreader and sail. Wind picks up, move the car all the way back and stand over the winch while grinding. Also get the 10" Lewmar quick release double winch handle. The very best thing I ever bought for my boat.

Sorry but the Hood sail I have is a very old 150, you can have it, but I wouldn't use it the fabric is pretty soft. The one I was thinking about must of been sold.
