There are two pieces of hose. One outside 20" X 1.5" keeps the pennant from jamming between the c/b and the trunk (not a sealing hose). The other one at the base of the mast should be replaced about every five years, think it also 1.5" or 1.25" and both are heater hoses.
I've been looking at the sealing hose at the base of the mast. Is it possible to replace that without dropping the mast? For that matter, is it possible to replace the C/B pennant without removing the mast? Thinking about using the existing line to pull through a small piece of cord to pull through a new pennant.
Yea when you're hauled. You need to drop the center board untie the pendant and pull a teaser line thru from either end. Rerun your new pendent.
You can replace the hose at the base of the mast without dropping the board. Loosen hose or cut in middle (without cutting pendant). Tie on teaser line from top and pull to base of mast. Untie pendant from teaser and slide on new hose over pendant. Retie teaser and pull pendant back thru the mast.
