Quick question for you...

I have a W50, the fuel filter on the engine (secondary?) is a major PITA to remove. Before the engine filter is a Racor (primary?). So how often do you change the one on the motor? Does it do much of anything considering the Racor is a finer filter?

Also...what oil change pumps do you guys use? I am finally going to break down and buy one, well actually already have but have not used it yet.

The vertical fuel filter (back right) is pretty simple to change. It's crowded and messy but simple. Once you separate the filter from the upper and lower, you'll have fuel all over. Bring a catch can.

Also I always have to push some tubing aside to get it completely out.

The fun part is bleeding afterward. Taking decent pics of the bleed order is on my list for Spring.

The primary is a separator and you only need to crack it open if you see water/sediment inside. No bleeding required.

I am attaching a diagram of the bleeding protocol. The only difference may be if you have a fuel pressure switch/keyless ignition. Point B will be covered with the adapter and fuel switch. The bleed screw will be on the adapter instead of on the pump body. Also, it has been my experience that in step seven when it ask you to loosen the 4 unions on the 4 injector you really only have to loosen two and get the fuel running. When you start the engine (yes it will run on two bled injectors) the remaining two will self bleed.

Thank you very much for the procedure. It looks like this is for the Four - 107 which is the W40 engine. I wonder if the procedure fits the W50?
