Yes, she's bow heavy. At least bow heavy looking. I think I can put a shelf/box behind the water heater under the cockpit to hold 3 AGM's, or at least two that would give me 500Ah or more of 12V. That would push some serious weight back in any event, and I don't really want to lose that storage in the quarter berth.

Beyond that I have yet to fill the water tanks (he said, after reading about the woes of these old tanks herein) to see how she sits with everything loaded.

Anyone put batteries back there? I mean, I could just eliminate the hot water tank and really load up with Ah, but it's nice to wash this 50W sunscreen off with hot water occasionally.

Esprit (#324) is a bit bow heavy as well. I have standing water forward of the mast when the boat is in normal trim. I think batteries aft of the water heater makes sense. The Scheel keel version I know has lead billets glassed to the hull back there.
