Congratulations and good luck, regarding stanchion bases,although a pain to access the undersides,they are generally far enough outboard that the fasteners pass thru solid glass and not core. I am working through mine using 'Mainsail's' method of a lightly countersunk fastener hole and butyl tape. When you ever access the hull/deck join you will find the original butyl still pliable. Always lots of projects but a sweet boat, I am just in process of ordering a CPT autopilot,easier then to fly my asymmetric when singlehanded. Regards, Bruce.

You're not kidding. Easiest one is the port side in the cabinet in the head. But learn from my mistake(s)... you can get a combo wrench in that little round access port to torque on those nuts, but tie a string to it. I have two wrenches now acting as ballast. They fall behind the wall and stop somewhere under the head I'm guessing. When I did that, I told my Father about it and he said "I did the same thing and never got it back".
