Hi everyone
I am considering buying a 1987 T37 with a scheel keel. The advertised draft of this boat from Tartan and SS is 4'7". Listing information says 4'9. In researching the net I have seen one advertised as 5'2" and one at 4'7". Does anyone in the forum own a T37 with this keel, or know the actual draft? I understand only a few T37's where fitted with this keel. This boat also has a aluminum toe rail instead of teak. Never seen another T37 with that.
Thanks Cliff

Hi Cliff;

That must be the T37 down in FL that you're looking at. We strongly considered that boat. It's newer (1987 I believe), has the shoal draft keel, and VERY nice aluminum toe rail. That one feature was almost enough to sway me to go all the way to FL to buy a boat.

We wound up buying ours in Boothbay, Maine; a short hop from our NH location.

I don't specifically know the answer to your question but you're looking at a very sweet boat which has been price adjusted very nicely recently. Good luck

Yes it's in Fl. About 8 miles from where I live. Draft is very important in SW FL, very skinny water. It is a nice boat, needs some things, high engine hours, and a few leaks. We are looking at it again tomorrow, I rigged something to try and measure the draft, will see if it works. Would rather find a CB one. The only ones close are overpriced, and tired. Hoping this one works out. I was wondering how the scheel keel model sails, compared to the CB.
