Hey guys-

After looking for some time for a boat that we could live aboard, cruise in the islands and maybe someday cross an ocean with, we found the T37 and hull 397 in North Carolina. We have a contract on it pending survey and sea trial and hope to close in the next few weeks. The T37s seem to be great boats and we're excited to (maybe) be owners soon!

This site is a great resource, thanks to the owners/moderators for all the work on it.

Baxter.

Congratulations Baxter and welcome to the clan. The T-37 is a great boat. Let us know how the survey goes.

The survey went very well and I closed on the boat last Thursday! The owner was kind enough to let me stay on the boat before the survey and I'm now in the process of moving my wife and dog aboard. What a great boat! We can't wait to go cruising the east coast this summer.

Baxter,
Congratulations!!!
I hope that you'll enjoy many years on your new Tartan. Are you going to keep her in the North Carolina area?
Tom

Thanks Tom. Yes, we're going to keep her in NC when we're not cruising for the foreseeable future. The marina we're in has good access to the ICW and is very well protected from weather. Hopefully the weather will be nice next week for a trip to Beaufort and Cape Lookout.

We've been sailing our 37 ranging from new england to the bahamas for the last two years. You won't find too many better boats. Fast, comfortable and she looks nice too.

Welcome to the club.

Search around a bit and find out almost everything you need to know about your boat. I've found answers to most of my questions just by searching past posts.

If you can't find what you're looking for, just ask. Someone here KNOWS.

My wife and I have been living on the T37 for a little over 2 weeks now and love it. We had a nice overnight sail on Friday from New Bern, NC to anchor at Cedar Creek on the ICW. The sailing was fantastic coming back yesterday averaging over 5.5 knots on a beam reach. Such a nice sailing boat!
