Hello all

We just purchased hull # 31 formerly called Tarka. We are based in the Chesapeake and are readying her for our second trip southbound. Our first was in her older sister the T34C known as Aeolus. The admiral requested better quarters for the next trip so the logical thing seemed to go up 3 feet but stay in the line.
We are currently knee deep in rudder repair, specifically the pintle needs to be replaced since one of the welded bolts came loose and the 1 inch SS pin that engages the rudder post also has failed at the weld. Bucks I've already acquired valuable information from this site regarding rudder removal and hope to draw more on this collective wisdom.

Oooh... a black hull T37. Now that's sexy! Welcome aboard and good luck with the overhaul.

Congratualtions on buying Tarka!!! She's a beauty, I know she was well cared for with many upgrades.
We sail on the lower Potomac so if you're in the area, give s a hail!

Neal - Terrific! Having bought hull #16 for the same family reason, also with rudder as well as powertrain repairs in process, we'll likely be swapping tips that the owners of 300- and 400-series hulls will be seeing in a few years.
