Hello sailors!

We are Pancea (T-37 hull # 218) and sail out of the Duncan Bay Boat Club in Cheboygan, Michigan. I learned the fine art of sailing first on a Coronado 25 then later on an Erickson 32. Panacea is owned by my father who is unable to continue sailing but has graciously loaned her to me and my family. This will be our 4th season enjoying the beautiful, but chilly waters of Northern Lake Huron near the Straits of Mackinaw. My wife of nearly 25 yrs has really taken to sailing as have my 22 yr old son, and my 19 and 14 yr old daughters. The 14yr old loves it when we are going 8+ knots and have the rail in the water.

Hope to learn some of tips from all of you about sailing and maintaining a beautiful, but aging T-37.

happy seas,

CaptainRon Tartan

Welcome aboard CaptainRon,
You're lucky....... your father has great tastes in boats! The T-37 does love to have her rail wet and a bone in her teeth. Cheers

Welcome Ron. I notice we have two accounts, Panacea and t37-panacea. The latter was actually used. Would that be your father? Or is that just a naming coincidence?

Thanks Tom and glad ye like to have er in da water too ---aaarghhh!

On the other question, I don't think my Dad (Doug Leng) ever hooked in to this forum, so the name could be a coincidence -- the name Panacea means "cure for all ills or what ails you" so definitely fits sailing!
