greetings Tartan owners,
I am considering buying a 1980 T 37. Are there any experiences out there with core problems? I love the boat and I am having a survey done before purchase. Can anyone help me?
You all have great boat taste, which I rate very high.
Look forward to meeting you all and introducing myself after "the deed" is done.

Fine choice. Browse about and you'll see some discussion of the "core". It's only an issue if moisture is not addressed, and even then only topside.

I've had some minor blistering issues that were solved with a barrier coat, but no moisture found in any of the hull coring. The coring is mainly in large paneled areas and not at the turn of the bilge. This area is solid glass.
Good luck with your purchase, I'm sure you'll love the performance and stability of the T37 Very Happy
