I've poked around here over the last few months, and asked a couple questions of the group, and am now very happy to report-in as the new owner of hull #22.
I picked the boat up Friday in Port Sanilac, Michigan and sailed it to Port Huron. After an overnight there, we departed Saturday at 2pm for Sandusky, Ohio, arriving at 8am this morning. My three sons, a brother in-law and the previous owner crewed on the deliery. The total trip was approx 150 miles, and will be a great memory for us. Wind ranged from 5 knots to 18 knots, mostly on the nose but occassionally on a beam. The boat performed great under power and sail.
She's in very nice condition overall, but some of the systems are getting a bit tired. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions over the next couple years as I slowly make improvements. As for this summer, however, I just intend to get very acquanted with her as-is.
I know that there are some Tartan regional owners groups, and I'll be looking into those when I get some time.
Anyway, it's been a long search and I'm happy to be able to say I'm a Tartan 37 owner.

Hello to all,

Doug Radabaugh
