The admiral wants a propane stove. At the moment we have an Origo 6000. I've read many of the "stove" post that are on the forum but nothing specific as to propane models. We want at least two burners with a small oven.

Any recommendations ?

I plan to rail mount the propane tank.

I think you are kind of limited as there are not a lot of producers. You probably want three burners for breakfast: eggs, bacon, coffee. Two is a crunch to get food out and there is not room for 4 pots so 4 is overkill. Also, you do not want non stainless anywhere on the thing. I have seen these parts on stoves rust out very quickly in the heat and cool cycle plus salt air. The jets and controls are all made by the same companies on most of these, so there is limited quality difference. Remember that even though you are mounting the tank externally, you need a test pressure guage--see the West Advisor on this.

I'm thinking of a Force 10 model 63251. Anyone have this model ? A 2 burner that is not much bigger than the Origo 6000.

Mine came with a 3-burner Shipmate propane with oven/broiler and I love it! Thing must be original, so that's 37 years old.......and it's all stainless and no rust, except the burners are aluminum discs and the burner grates are cast iron with an enamel coating. Great stove, just not made anymore. Maybe you can buy used? Where are you located? Bacon and Associates in Annapolis often has used ovens for sale.

Betty Lou has a 3-burner w/oven Force 10, and we love it. I have a griddle for a Coleman camp stove that fits perfectly over the from two burners that transform it into a pancake-making machine! Only issue is that it can't really get the oven temp to much more than 375 degrees.

What model Force-10 3 burner ? I found a compact model #63354 3 burner that looks like it will fit just fine.

I'll have to check the model for you this weekend when I'm at the boat.

Hello;

We have a Seaward Princess 3 burners propane stove/Oven on board; was a drop-in replacement of the old Seaward CNG stove that the previous owners installed before us. It's on gimball mounts and came with a built-in gimball locking pin.
Works flawlessly and we are very satisfied of it. Also a joy to clean/maintain (if I can call that a joy); the designers did a good conception job on that point particularly for the top burners that are sealed.

Louise and I lived aboard one year in 2010-2011 and no need to say that it was a vital piece of equipment on board!
It only lacks a broil burner in the top part of the oven but really we never missed that; the oven can easily get over 475F when needed.
The seaward is american made; a little bigger than the Force 10; it fits quite thightly in the stove space on our Tartan.
It was priced at around $1200 CDN in 2006.

If you love cooking, propane stove/oven are the way to go !!
