Installed the Cape Horn wind vane this year, it did 98% of the work going to Cape Breton (42 hrs). Works great and does not have a lot of stuff sticking on the stern of the boat so can still use the stern ladder.
Here is a video of it,
Richard

Nice. Do you have any shots of the stern view and any detail shots? I have been debating between a below decks pilot or a wind vane to supplement my wheel pilot.

Looks great. You don't have any shots of the connection to the quadrant that you might post?

Sorry for taking so long to post these, hard to get good pictures of it. The first picture is of the Cape Horn quadrant and the blocks I installed on the Tartan quadrant, the second is the block epoxied to the hull with the turning block to come back to a set of cam cleats in the cockpit and the last is of the stern locker which I can still use as I cut holes in the boards to lead the lines down (yes I know one is messed up Embarassed ) plus I blocked off part of it to prevent anything from falling back into the quadrant. The pics are not the best, if anyone wants better/more PM me,

Richard
