SWMBO has a request bearing on the fact that her feet do not reach the deck while seated on the head. Has anyone installed some kind of step/platform such that those that are vertically challenged can have their feet on firm ground whilst seated? Suggestions and photos?

On first read, the thing that I thought of was the step needed feet on the forward side to interlock into the shower grating. This would keep it from sliding around while heeled.

That lead me to think of building something open like the shower grate. Too bad that I'm not competent with a dado. Shocked But you would surely want something with an open feel to it so that the dampness it will get if let in place during a shower will dry out. Two sides? Top and one side that connects to the grating? Allow it to lean against the head platform?

Do you need to cut out an arc for the door or not? Because installing and removing it all the time would be a PITA.

OK, everybody think on this and let's come up with something useful and simple for NAM.

Lower height head? I know there is a lot of variation out there from one manufacturer to another....
How about a hinged step that is attached to the verticle fiberglass surface of the head platform? It could be made from teak or some sort of grating that locks into place somehow when in use.
How much is she missing it by? High-heels, stillettos? Snicker

I had the same problem and installed one of these
http://www.garelick.com/product.php?pnumber=26015
and it works great, folds up out the way for #1's and down for #2's.
