I've always liked the idea of an aluminum toe rail with spaces for snapping on a variety of things. Has anyone done or seen anyone add on an aluminum toe rail on top of our teak one for such a purpose? I know to some it may ruin the visual appeal of all teak, but it would be handy at times.

Does your boat have an aluminum T-track bolted on top for the aft third of the toe rail? This track is mainly used for downwind sailing and spinnaker work by transferring the sheet to a snatch block to give the downwind sail a wider angle but you can attach almost anything onto it using the adjustable cars that slide along it. If you need something more forward, you could install another further up. These tracks are low profile and do not mess up the fine lines of the sheer.

No I don't have that, is it a track on top of the toe rail?

Richard,
It is on top of the toe rail and through bolted using 4 inch bolts tapped into the aluminum flange that is imbedded into the fiberglass flange. This "T" track is the same as the track used for your genoa sheet track.

Oops yes I have that one, I am more thinking of a C & C style toe rail but for other spots that do not have this track,
thanks
