no, no, no......not that Very Happy
I'm getting ready to replace my prop and would like to get a survey of the prop size that you have. I am replacing an old two blade Martec 16" X ? (can't remember the pitch) with a two blade Flex-O-Fold. The guy from F-O-F recommends a 16" X 12" pitch RH prop. Think this sounds about right? What experiences do you have with your prop?
I have a Westebeke 40 (37 HP) with a 2:1 reduction.

I have a W50 (42 hp at 3200 rpm). I had a 2 blade 16" x 14" prop, which was way over pitched. I had it repitched to 12". It is still slightly over pitched - I would guess 10" would be about right, but works OK so I'm going to leave it there. I'm not sure about the reduction ratio of the transmission. I've seen two different values published (1:1.8 and 1: 2.0), but I haven't actually checked.

We're W50 so I'm not sure what you need. But I have experienced the over pitched on an Atomic 40 on a different T37. The guy put a 3 blade reversible prop on it and if you put her in gear at idle, the engine would stall. Shocked Found that out while docking with a 30kt tail wind. Very... invigorating. So I hope you find a proven rig for your W40.

Speaking of which... anyone on here own the T37 formerly known as Kyoga out of Waukegan, IL? She stayed on MI I think. Forgot her hull number but it was early 200's and she was in great shape.

I have a KIWI feathering prop and it works great. The pitch is adjustable but the factory sets it up for you. I got a spare blade with mine.
