Has anyone installed a wind generator on a Tartan 37, could use your thoughts and comments on mast location.....?

Yep,
I installed an old Ampair 100 that I bought used. I had a local welder make a mast/base out of schedule 80 aluminum with welded tabs to secure braces made out of S.S. tubing that leads to deck fittings. This is all mounted on the starboard stern quarter and seems to be working well although it can get a little tight now and then since the Tartan's stern is pinched.
