I'm wondering what people have done to correct the port side list? I've moved 2 of my three batteries to the starboard side, but there is still a definite list. Has anyone used corrective weights? If so, how were they installed?

You can start by keeping the port water tank empty if you don't need it. Keep the starboard water topped off.

7.4 lb/gal for deisel makes 370lbs to port for starters. Water's 8.3lbs/gal. Then the batteries... and with the head, more bulkheads, more storage on Port, there's lots of weight to overcome. (I truly believe that the boat would list if it were completely empty.)

So batteries aren't going to do it alone. Maybe store all your heaviest things in the pilot berth? We've just learned to love it as is over 24 yrs.

I guess it all depends on the boat, I have a starboard list that bugs me, so I empty the starboard tank first! But the generator and A/C are on the starboard side and the pilot berth had been converted to storage which can hold a lot of weight. I think I need to put the beer on the port side bunk now..........

Seems rather simple. Just store the beer on the Port side and everything should be fine.

If we put the beer on the port side we might go belly up.
Cheers Mmm Beer
