Tortuga's Lie: No. I relied on the scuppers recognizing it was not a totally foolproof installation. This tank was a spare only; was not connected to any appliances.

Yeah, I guess as a spare only, the risk is quite small for a leak. I also think it would be possible to build an airtight box and run an internal drain under the cockpit and through the hull somewhere.

I have nearly finished my new propane locker, takes two 17lb fiberglass tanks and room for some paint. Only just room and was a lot of work but I am pretty happy. uses the existing through hull to vent.

On my T37C the propane locker is on the port side of the helmsmens seat but it is square under the deck and takes a 11 lb. aluminum tank plus I have been able to fit another 10 lbs. of 1 lb. propane bottles that I use for my BBQ and have an attachment to hook them to the main gas line if needed. Work well for me when crusing the Bahamas.

I currently have a single tank in a locker on the port helmsman's seat. My spare is lashed to the mast but I like the idea of 2 in a locker.
DAEDALUSCAN - Can you supply below deck pics of the 2 tank locker you made and some more technical details?
