It always annoyed me to have this open cutout in this storage nook outboard of the nav station so I added a door. An interesting thing happened while I was drilling the hole in the bulkhead for the latch pin. I removed all three drawers to get to the backside to drill and I noticed that the forward support chocks for the drawers didn't have any screws securing them on the outboard ends! This was a factory production snafu that went unnoticed until now. I drilled and installed new screws which allowed the drawers to be supported properly.

Since we're always fighting for storage, I installed two shelves in the port hanging locker (the "poopy" locker as my better half calls it). The top shelf is on hinges so it rotates up for better access. I'll put clothes in bins on these shelves. I also installed two shelves under the V berth for shoes (the original shelf supports the mattress full time). This is a good use of this space and the shelves are removable to access the space below where I keep some tools.

You can put a lot of stuff in the right size bins under the nav table
