Understood. I don't have the issue of the fairing. It's long gone. I intend to look things over carefully after reading somewhere, though, that the tolerances for re-install are fairly tight and the top of the fairing that the bolts go through should be the same as what's already there (or the remnant under the pintle plate). Delrin bushing and some kind of large nylon or delrin washer where the rudder meets the hull and beneath the delrin bushing? Where do I get those washers?

I have an old four bolt pintle in the shed. I can get you measurements, for a reference. Should be able to tell were the fairing lands on it. I would hold fairing in place and mark the new holes from inside.

The Delrin washer can be bought, but I had the machine shop turn them. I made mine a little thinner 1/8".

I think the pintle plate/bar is a replacement and probably O.K. I don't see any major issues, and its in much better shape than the other 2 on T37's I looked at. The problem is the lack of fairing and the pintle pin not being welded. I'll know more once I get a hole dug and start the process. Clearly, I've got to get a new fairing over the pintle plate and put it all together. The rudder itself seems sound. Thank you for your offer.
