I spent this past weekend clearing out the rats nest ( water & sanitary hoses) under the head sink and the v Berth portside closet. I want to simplify my sanitary hose system and replace hoses.

I'm having trouble getting access to the top end of the pump out & vent hoses. I can't see or reach them.
There's a deck plate with three screws for the pump out and I'm not sure if the screws have nuts on the backside or they are just screwed into the deck.
I'm also not sure on the removal of the vent hose at the hull, proper way to remove.

I ran out of time this weekend to further investigate and before I proceed I thought I would reach out to the T37 crew for advice.

All comments and advice are appreciated.
Thanks in Advance.

Both vent and pump-out fittings can be accessed from inside by removing the trim and two teak veneered plywood pieces on top of the hanging locker forward of the head. I replaced both.

Dave,
Thanks for the comments.
Hopefully the trim and comes off in an orderly fashion.

Regards,

As I recall, it is a snug fit like everything else. A screw can be left in just far enough to provide a grip on the wood. Somewhere - maybe at this location - the panels must turn slightly to come apart. I replaced the head components about 4 years ago which is when I had that area open, so it's been awhile. Unless there is high humidity (with wood swelling) it should come apart okay.

Agree with the above. Also the screws you mention holding the deck fittings are just regular screws into the glass and core. No nuts.
