Has anyone installed the new RayMarine autopilot? Where did you put the compass? I am thinking about putting it in the head behind the door. I can’t find anywhere else it will fit.

Just thinking out loud. But under the dining table? There's a wood piece on my boat that doesn't move. Or is the clearance too little?

I re-read the directions and the compass on the new version apparently doesn’t have to be near the center of the boat. I put it in the back of the quarter berth up high but close to the control computer. This thing is too high tech for me! Thanks for checking in. I hope you are doing okay.

Getting there. Boat's ready, Admiral is ready, skipper's at 80%. Using a cane for long distances but unaided distance keeps getting longer and longer.

If you are talking about the EV-1 sensor, I placed mine in the starboard sail locker up high below the deck. No issues with interference and easy wire routing. My ACU-200 is mounted on the rear bulkhead in the quarter berth. Keeps it dry and easy wiring. I think I detailed my installation somewhere here. Very satisfied with the performance, esp with my rotary drive unit on the Edson rack and pinion gear.
