Anybody have a holding tank in the portside closet between the V Berth and the head? If so, can you share a photo and the tank part number or size?

Thanks in advance. We're thinking this might be a better place than under the V Berth bunk: less plumbing and shorter hoses.

Mike,
I changed out my holding tank in the Spring of 2020.
I went with a Ronco 25 gallon tank. I think it was B470? But not 100% sure.
The tank is trapezoidal, and protrudes aft, into the closet a few inches.
I think the old tanks were 19 gallons.

I did have to cut into the partition wall that separates the Vee berth and the closet to port, a few inches. I stayed away from the tabbing, and refastening the top lip with 3M 5200. See photos.
I was hesitate about cutting into the partition wall, I was worried that it was a Bulkhead. I posted on the Forum and others commented. I'm sure it does add some stiffness. My wall already was Swiss cheese, with multiple holes, so I trimmed about 2 1/2" to fit the new tank in. You could always add stiffness, reinforce the wall, just to be sure.

I hope this helps.
Cheers.

Nick.

Thanks for the pictures, Nick.

I was looking at that exact tank. Yes, B470 is the number. Then I measured the space under the V-Berth and felt sad. Looks like you found a good solution.
