I went up there to try and just change to an led bulb but ended up finding a strange old fixture that didn't seem to have anything compatible. So, I got this one. Reviews are bad, I see, but I haven't had any problems.

The stern light, I replaced with a Aquasignal series 41 mounted to center stern rail. The original is junk.

Anchor light we went with Led, a must. Saves 12ah a day. In crowded anchorages the masthead light is about useless. We hang a light from the boom, the best we found is Firefly.

I'm pretty sure this is the one I bought, but check the dimensions to be sure. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B015X ... UTF8&psc=1

Thanks ordered one today. It replaces a Perkins 71 Festoon bulb which I believe is correct. They also had a 10% discount so it was like 7 bucks.

I'm also looking at an all around light for anchoring any suggestions here? I need to go up the mast to replace the bulb up top to LED, but I'm also looking for an anchor light I could hang/mount lower that was maybe battery powered.

Thanks for the recommendation replaced the stern light with the LED bulb today in about 3 mins. Now I need to swap out the Navigation lights with the Sea Choice LED ones I purchased from Defender. I'm thinking of swapping out just the bulbs and lenses and leaving hte old ones installed. If I do swap them out, what type of caulking should I use? Butyl Tape?

Just want to make sure I'm clear on what you are doing. you replaced the Anchor light with an LED and then while you ahve that on, you also use the Firefly off the boom? Are you only running the firefly?

I tried to swap out just the bulbs from the new LED red and green navigation lights from SeaChoice, but the globe is a slightly different size so it doesn't fit exactly. I'll need to swap out the whole fixtures. I've posted a picture below, but the new lights have a rubber piece that looks like a large gasket. Should I use some caulking in addition to the rubber? If so, what type of caulking? Would butyl tape work?
