I replaced the hose at the base of the mast 3 years ago. The one outboard that has the pendant going thru it and just rides on the centerboard. That one is keeping the pendant from jamming, only needs to be replaced every 12 or so years (doesn't impact watertight integrity). I also did that one 3 years ago.

I usually pull the boat every 3 years, plan on dropping the CB and rudder next time out. Plan to rebuild the rudder and rework the pintle. Inspect the CB pin bracket and CB plates, will replace the hoses and pendant then.

Is 25 feet of 3/8 line still best for centerboard pennant -- would Dyneema be a better choice? Do you secure the line to the board with a bowline?

I think I got 40 ft of line just to be safe and have extra. I used 3/8 double braid and it has worked well. It is tied on with a bowline and a piece of sanitation hose goes down over the knot. If you use dyneema you may want to splice it since it's a bit more slippery than normal line and can come undone.
