mast brand

Does anybody know the mast brand from the earlier years (1979), nothing is printed on it and I so far haven't found anything on line. My size is 5 1/2" X 8 3/4"

Not 100% sure, but I believe it's Schaefer. I know my boom is a Schaefer for it has a label. All of my mast tangs have the Schaefer symbol on it. I'm sure there's someone still working at Tartan that might remember.

I think I found it, it is a "Sound Spars" model 8755, according to the rig rite site, the specs fit. It was also the spar for the Pearson 424 plus others.

I wonder if it made a difference as to if the boat is an Ohio boat or North Carolina boat?? Maybe the proximity to the spar manufacturer determined the make to save on shipping costs? My boat is a North Carolina boat.
