They must put something in the air at the boat shows... I bought a pair of Andersen 52 ST FS winches because they gave me a price I couldn't refuse......

My wife will have an easier time bringing in the genoa Snicker

By, am I envious! I can't believe that Tartan was installing non- self tailing winches back then: they were maybe $100.00 less than self-tailers? Does anyone know if there is any effective way to convert? The idea of just throwing away the old winches is a bit distastefull (to me).

eBay.

Have bought and sold hundreds of boating parts and for smaller items (that can be mailed) nothing beats it. For larger parts use Craigslist of KIJIJI

Best Buy for me was a Lowrance Chart Plotter (about $2400 new at the time) listed as damaged but when I called Lowrance (before bidding) to cost out repairs I found they had recalled the model and I could turn it in for a brand new one. So I bid on it. $54 including shipping. The way I look at it is a $2346 windfall! Cheers PC hates me
