I've got no idea about diesel fuel in the hull but from another forum I'm on I found out about "PureAyre" odor remover.

the stuff's expensive on their site but Amazon sells it a little cheaper.

I've never used it but other people swear by it.

I had stains under the nav station around the charger. Since that was where the corner of the fuel tank is I thought there was some moisture issue (either water gathering or a fuel leak). I cut the top free and removed the tank....no problem. It is aluminum. So there is one off the potential problems list! I'm wondering...how important is it to re-glass the edge? The remaining flange would provide all the support it needs I'd guess....what do my fellow T-37ers think?

I reglassed the lid/quarter berth back in place when I replaced my tank. It only takes a few minutes and I think the interior funiture attached to the hull helps stiffen the hull assembly. I would hesitate to leave it loose on one side. I used a fiberglass tape I bought at Tap Plastics called Knytex. It comes in different widths and I think I used 2". Glued that in place with West Sytems epoxy and finished with some white Bilge Coat I had in the garage.
