Has anyone ordered a new pintle in the last year or so? If so is it constructed the same as the older ones with one pin going thru the bearing into the 1" shaft to keep it from turning? Would like to see a beefier method.

Yes, I replaced mine last winter. It was a big project for me as my rudder fairing was glassed on so I had to cut it off and glass it back on. I have pictures and documentation if you like.

Well I am almost ready to put everything back together. I went with a pintle that was 3" X 3/4". The one I took out that was slightly bent was 2" X 1/2" so I beefed it up as I don't want to do it again. Also went with 1 1/8" 316 for the post and increased the height of the bearing. Put lots of West around the shaft in the rudder and added another tang.
