Another centerboard question

Changed the pennant and hose this weekend before shipping the boat. The bolts holding the plate and pin assembly to the keel seem to be in good shape but 2 of them do not have good bite. I ended up using a lag bolt as I didn't have a bigger bolt. Is there a way to replace the "plate" that the bolts go into or do you just keep tapping for a bigger bolt?
What if I filled all the holes with thicken epoxy then redrilled them for lag bolts, do you think that would be a good solution?

I know they make a thread repair kit that uses an epoxy, but I have never used it so I can't tell you how it would do in such a that has so much force on it.

I had two bolts that were stripped and were already retapped for 1/2" when they stripped again. I filled the holes with 2 part epoxy paste and then used 1/2" SS lag bolts. Worked fine. Remember to bed them well!!
