Does anyone know where we can get the spring loaded hook that holds the table agains the bulkhead? It came in 2 lengths and we recently added shelves behind the table and got rid of the sliding mechanism. Now I need the longer hook to hold up the table.

Thanks,

Chip Seltzer

I am afraid I can't help with sourcing the hook, but I would love to see what you have done.

Lets be honest the table is really a piece of junk on these boats. It is definitely on my list, but sadly the list is long.

If anyone has built a nice replacement I would love to see pictures.

To add pictures (or any other file), simply attach the file in the section directly below where you type your reply.

I believe there should be pictures attached to this. I had 4 but can only post 3. As you can see, the table now stands several inches out from the bulkhead where it used to draw right up against. This is the way some of the later boats were built and the hook was available commercially (a couple of inches longer than the old one). I just can't find it. Otherwise, I will come up with an alternative attachment.

Very nice job. I bet that has got rid of a lot of the wobble which is my major complaint. And some storage as a plus.

Any way to extend the original hook?

Maybe attach a block to the bulkhead and the hook to the block? Not the prettiest solution when the table's down though. And you may need a screwhole/bung setup from the other side of the bulkhead to make it hold. But it looks as if there's no room on top anyway.

Big velcro strap through the side handles would look classy. Snicker
