I am going to haul my boat soon, and wonder if anyone knows the dimensions or part no. for the cutless bearing I would like to order it.

I will also be changing the head thru-hull (1 1/4"). I notice that it seems to be flush to the hull
rather like a cockpit drain? Anyone changed this?

If I can, I will actually move my boat to our property and keep it out for the winter so that I can do some deck work and rebuild the rudder.

Any help appreciated, Charlie

Hi Charlie, just replaced mine this year. It is 4" long. The shaft is 1" and the bearing OD is 1 1/2". There are lots of manufactures available

The thru hull is just embedded under a bit of glass. It is a flush mounted unit that they just glassed over. To remove it, I suggest you chip out the glass on the outside of the hull around it. I was able to turn mine out with a bar rammed up into it and a giant wrench with a pipe on the handle. This was not a hard thing to do, just took some time. I then glassed the new one in just like the old one.
