I have 2 holes by companion way were the lines run aft. Are they supposed to be there seems like no. The opposite side has no holes. Should i fiberglass these closed?

Originally there was a padeye there for the centerboard pennant, which was the only line that ran through the gap in the cowling. Now that you have additional lines, you don't want the padeye. So for you, the holes shouldn't be there anymore.

We made the same modification on our boat and filled those holes with epoxy. The balsa core was kinda soggy there.
