I'm working on replacing thru-hulls and seacocks this off season and I found this one up forward with several other instrument thru-hulls. Except this one is different. It is bronze. I have no idea what might fit it and it doesn't have a standard instrument plug in it. It certainly seems to be original.

I'm planning on closing it up, but thought it best to check with the forum to see if there's some other reason it is there and use for it. there's not enough clearance to put a seacock on it, and I have no idea what else it might be used for.

Looking for clues...

Many thanks,

Steve,

My hull #287 does not have one of those in the instrument area. You can't see how thick the bronze is so my suggestion is to pull it out and mount it on the wall of your den. Very Happy

When I was doing a modification to the A/C cooling line, I snapped the bronze fitting trying to remove the hose.

Wayne -

thank you. I'm not quite sure how I'm getting it out, but an angle grinder might be in my near future Very Happy
