Had the boat hauled this winter and asked them to give me a bit of space for the board since I wanted to make sure the slot was clear and everything worked. I notice that they actually left the board down about a foot.

So I went to pull the board up the rest of the way and it won't budget using the centerboard pennant and winch. I can easily manually lift it into the case though, so it's not stuck. It hasn't given us any problems and was up (how far?) and down all season.

I figure the pennant must be fouled somewhere and will have to wait until Spring to have them put it in the lift and lower it all the way down to see what's up.

I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience and might have a probable answer to this.

Appreciate any advice. (And the centerboard padeye posts scared the daylights out of me.)

I have the same problem, The last time it happened it worked itself loose, but this time its stuck like its in cement. I would also like to know if there is a "solution" or if there is something I am doing that is causing the issue.

Make certain you have the loose hose riding on the pendent, that prevents jamming.
