Winter 2023 Work

As the new year approaches I look to the next few month to perform boat projects. With funds limited I'm doing low budget work. Some of these include:
Repack the rudder post
Check AC wiring
Continue to replace older wiring
Clean locker spaces, wash the inside hull inside lockers
Install a new topping lift block....

Anyway - you get the idea, the Admiral's check book is locked away this winter due to over spending this summer. :(

Seeking out what others that are going to pick away at as the days get longer and we dream of open water, fair winds, and sun.

Here’s my 2023 list.
1.) Convert stove from CNG to propane, install a stern mounted propane locker.
2.) Install a secondary higher bilge pump with an alarm.
3.) Replace manual bilge pump in cockpit at the helm.
4.) Refinish all brightwork on the boat. Going with Epihanes, Old school, 8-10 coats.

Since my boat is on the hard on the chilly shores of Lake Superior, I won’t be able to start work until late April.
If all goes well, I hope to launch by Memorial Day weekend.

If you're not also on the Tartan 37 Owners Group on Facebook, here's what I listed for my 2023 projects:
1) Install new LifePo4 batteries. Requires some system redesign but my whole DC electrical system was just replaced recently. The switch to LiFePo4 shouldn't be too hard.
2) Fabricate new bimini. Bought the new Sailrite machine and kit.
3) Install new Garhauler traveler and mainsheet hardware.
4) Sand and varnish tons of wood!
5) Install new engine control cables.
6) Install new 12 strand lifelines.
7) Begin refurbishing cabin sole.
Cool

Create and install shelving in pilot berth.
9) Plumb in new holding tank overboard discharge pump.
10) Install new engine mounts.
11) Replace starboard water tank.
Probably too much for me to reasonably get done before summer cruising season but you gotta set the bar high with boat work.

I thought you already did the cabin sole year before last? The way these wet lockers are set up the single sheet laminate sole I've got is a mess (no teak and holly). I need to sit and stare at it, but I'm thinking epoxy, just the right color 2 part paint (haven't thought that through) and maybe softsand nonskid as well. I know it sounds funky, but the forward sole rots no matter what because of the wet lockers. The piece around the mast is invariably rotted, and I've looked at a lot of T37's. If I could just make it look right and last . . .
1.) More batteries. Behind the water heater. Not sold on LiFePo yet.
2.) Shore power, charger/inverter needed to replace the antique I tossed;
3.) Install the Muir windlass.
4.) A little more deck hardware and arrangement while the overhead is still out;
5.) Put in a new overhead in the salon, run some wiring for salon lights, reinstall the teak trim.
6.) Install the refrigeration.
7.) Some solar/MPPT controller.
8.) The LP works and is in a "safe" box in the locker, but moving it aft to the lazarette with a better drain setup . . .
I could go on and on. Spent 3 days over Christmas just chilling on a mooring in Waterlemon Bay. The Christmas Winds are here, and I have to find that 1.5" steel ball that's rolling around in a wooden box somewhere on the boat. Got hit with 45kn broadside just as we were going into the slip. Bonked the concrete bulkhead with the bow. That was a first. Add haul out and prep and paint hull white to the list.
