The Boom

I took the end cap off of the boom in order to install thru bolted pad eyes for a preventer system and discovered that (at least on Panacea) there is a 4 part fiddle block and tackle setup for the outhaul! I did not see a reference to this in the owner?s manual I have. There is a three foot rod attached to an aluminum tube that the bolt on the aft most bail runs through. The tube is the forward attachment point for the forward block and the wire rope to the outhaul is attached to the aft block.

Thanks for the pictures. I suspected there had to be something similar inside the boom given the wire outhaul, but its nice to have pictures. Jay.
