Tartan will soon be offering chainplates for sale! I pulled mine from Pilgrim (#347) and sent them in to be copied. When I receive the new I’ll post pics.

How much $? I still have a hard time with the skeg price I paid, then had to do all that work to just to make it fit. And foam it. And seal it.

I'm here to tell you, today's SS is not as good as the 40 year old SS. Inspect, die test and only replace if required. It's great Tartan is supporting these great old boats. I replaced my original, with rigging from one of the best rigging companies. In four years looked worse than the original.

Ah...hold on there. A magnet stuck to the pin on my rudder pintle. I used shaft steel on the pin and 316 for the pintle. Plus we added gussets on the underside to strengthen the pintle because mine had a bend downward as if from weight from the rudder caused it. And Tartan assured me the replacements would be 316.

As for how much $$ I don’t know. I sent mine in to be used as templates so I got a price break...
