I'm coming out into the yard (from the shed) tomorrow, finally. Damn barn swallows are making a mess of the deck.

When you winch the centerboard pennant, does that bring it UP or DOWN? In other words, if you let the line go, does the centerboard engage or do you have to crank it down. Dumb question, I know, but I'd hate to see the board dragging on the hydraulic trailer tomorrow.

Winching it raises the board. Released it will drop of its own accord.

Thank you. I figgered and cleated the pennant taught, but with so many projects my brain wouldn't kick in.
