We finally bit the bullet and bought a Nature's Head composting toilet and ripped out all old plumbing, head and holding tank!

Although we are thrilled that the stinky head is gone, we are having to climb quite high to sit on the head and we're not very big people.. I'm 5'2". Also, we have been playing around with inching it back and forth, at an angle, etc to find the best fit (it hasn't been bolted down yet as we are currently on the hard).

Our current dilemma is that we want to lower the existing step where the previous head rested (as seen in the picture) but due to the curvature of the hull, we won't have enough of a flat area to bolt down the base of the head. (It is already cantilevered about 25% of the base).

Any ideas to make this work, gentlemen? All suggestions are very much appreciated!

Check out this thread. We created a platform big enough to rest your feet on each side of the composter using a large piece of starboard: It worked out quite well. viewtopic.php?f=4&t=1312&hilit=
