My Cape Horn is mounted on center and the ladder that came with the boat was able to move to the starboard side. I also opened up the starboard side rails so it is easy to get in and out of the water,

Thanks for the picture. I've been emailing back and forth with the Cape Horn guys and they sent me the measurements that you used on your boat. I will look to see if I can move the ladder to the side if I Center the capehorn. But it looks very similar to the ladder that I have. did you have to modify the ladder at since the feet on mine look like they may extend past the slope of the side of the transom? Since you installed the capehorn would you change the measurements at all I noticed that your LMT length was slightly longer at about 17 in then I would have thought to put the quadrant in. I basically came up with the exact same measurements you did except for the LMT amount.

Also do you have a picture of the quadrant installed below decks?

The ladder fit with one small modification. I was able to move the lower starboard stop in a bit from the outside. I can double look next time I'm at the boat if you want.
Here are the pictures I have, sorry they are not very good as it is hard to get a good picture in there,

Richard

Thank you for the pictures. Very helpful. If you can send one of the ladder too that would be great.

Did you end up doing the installation yourself or did you have someone else install it? I am debating on having the CapeHorn people install it for me.

I dont have a picture but I once saw a boat where at the lifeline gate was inserted a reverse folding ladder which worked well on moorings or cruising but could have the base pins pulled and stowed should need rise to lay up on a pier on that side. The lifeline gate was even left in place for use if ladder removed. If i remember correctly, when raised it did not protrude at all inside the stanchions and did not look like there would be any issues underway with the small outboard width increase. I have this very idea planned for a future project for us.

OK finally a couple of pics of mine, I cut off the original top hinges and had a crossbar welded on. It folds up against the lifeline or is easily removable. I purchased the fittings from Mystic Stainless, who also make ladders.

Somebody asked what brand the folding stainless ladder that I described: it's "Tops in Quality". It doesn't stay on the rail when not being used: it fits in the aft starboard hanging locker (the "skinny" one).

I did the install myself, the scariest part was drilling the big hole! This is the best picture I have of the ladder and I installed the Cape Horn on center.
