Hi all,

Right now my T37 is on the hard with the mast off. The electrical wiring in the mast was jammed up and couldn't be removed with it stepped. Getting all new 12V wiring, NEMA 2k cable, and VHF cable run in the mast, and all new instruments and LED nav/foredeck lighting.

Seems to me it's a good time to really clean up and inspect the mast base area, and replace the centerboard pennant, since it's quite easy to do now.

My question is, is there anything else that should be done while the mast is down, since it (hopefully) won't be unstepped again for quite some time.

Thanks,
James

Thanks for the advice. I will plan to replace the hose. along with the pennant and inspect thoroughly for corrosion and other issues.

Run a few spare conductors. If you don't have a LED anchor light do that, big saver. Inspect standing rigging, no better time to replace. Check all blocks and halyards.
