When I pump the handle on the Wilcox Crittenden Headmate head I get a small amount of water coming out of the pump handle. I'm debating on whether to get the repair kit or just the entire pump replacement.

Has anyone ever used either of these or have any suggestions?

The Rebuild kit is about $75 bucks and the entire new assembly is about $140. I'm not sure when the last time this was repaired by the previous owner, but I was thinking it may just be easier to replace the entire pump assembly.

I rebuilt my Headmate for 18 years and finally resorted to having 2 pumps. One installed and one freshly rebuilt in the parts locker. It made the fix easier on the fly. Last year I bit the bullet and bought a new head from Raritan (PH Superflush). It is a bit noisier then the Headmate but a lot less problematic. Thetford bought The Wilcox Crittenden product line and for this item, they couldn’t care less. One of the new pumps I bought was assembled wrong at the factory! $.02
