They are supposed to finish up by the end of this week, so we'll know soon enough. If this doesn't get it, we are heading out toward the Keys anyway and will continue to monitor, but I'm hoping this is the fix. Either way, the false keel in the back needed repairing.

Here are pics of the front section of the CB trunk cut out. I'm thinking they are going to glass over these sections with all the "pockets" then rebuild the trunk area they cut out.

Hey Dave, I went over to Snead Island today and tried to measure. There wasn't any way to get the tape up past the board to get a good measurement, and the boat isn't such that I can let the board down currently.

Last week, I sent an email to the yard asking them what they were going to do about the holes without bolts in the hinge plates. It was the first time I had noticed those. I'm guessing a previous owner removed the bolts and drilled new holes through the plates and into the keel in an area that held fast? But not sure. Currently I have three bolts on each side, and they seem to be in there well although I haven't removed them to make sure. The yard hasn't gotten back to me on what they are going to do there. I'm pretty sure they aren't planning to lower the board or take the hinge plate off. Tired of finding new problems to fix... Lol

Kind of wonder why it wasn't finished like this to begin with. Looking good!

On the empty bolt holes in the hinge plate question, I talked to them today, and they drilled them out and are filling with epoxy. They said one of the holes had a broken off bolt or something still in it.

Glassed the piece cut out from the front of the CB trunk back in place. All that's left is final paint today and hopefully back in the water tomorrow.

Holiday is back in the water and back at our dock now for a couple of days. The areas that had water leaching in are still bone dry. It's been a long time since I saw the area around the mast perfectly dry like it is now. Looks like we were right about the water migrating up through the keel.

Also, we are sitting 2-3 inches above our old water line. I was really surprised by that much difference. Now, to get her cleaned up, move back aboard, and head for the Keys!

Beautiful job, May I ask how much did all that work cost for yard storage and then for actual labor/materials? Happy it was successful. Thank you. Timoko

It was just under 5k (like 4998.00) in total. They didn't charge for yard storage. That was parts and labor.
